Cooler Than Lemonade: A Story about Great Ideas and How They Happen
Cooler than Lemonade has become one of my newest favorite books. The story is about a girl named Eva who thinks up new ideas easily. On a hot, summer day, her newest idea is to make and sell lemonade with her little brother. Eva gets to work and is doing well with selling until she notices that a neighbor boy set up his lemonade stand right across the yard! Eva has to make her lemonade and everything that goes with it better, and each time the boy makes his better, too, until it gets to the point when Eva isn’t sure if she can keep going. Will she quit and give up or think of the next best thing before it’s too late?
Cooler than Lemonade shows how kids can do some pretty cool things, especially girls. I liked everything about this story, including the pictures that are colorful with so much to look at. Kids of any age will enjoy this book because it is about using your mind and not giving up. I also enjoyed seeing the recipe at the back of the book; I can’t wait to try it out because it looks so good!
